REALME X3 SUPER ZOOM || FULL REVIEW OF X3 WITH PRICE AND DETAILS

Realme X3 series is official in India. The series comprises of Realme X3 and Realme X3 Super Zoom. With the new series, Realme seeks to offer a flagship device at a mid-range phone value. Both the phones come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor and offer 64MP quad-lens camera at the back. While the Realme X3 has 12MP telephoto lens, the Realme X3 Super Zoom offers 8MP periscope lens.

We used Realme X3 Super Zoom for quite some time and here’s our review of the device.

REALME X3 SUPER ZOOM : DESIGN AND DISPLAY

Realme offers two colour options for the smartphone -- Arctic White and Glacier Blue. The unit we received was Arctic White. Realme X3 Super Zoom has a matte finish design at the back. At first, it may look like any regular White colour variant phone. But a closer look reveals the minute subtleties in the design. The handset’s rear side is reflective but not glossy bad. The light reflected is so optimum and faded-like which gives it a near-premium look.

The phone is comparatively lightweight and feels great in hand when picked up. The smooth matte finish on the back gives it a slip-proof design. Despite the plastic back, the phone feels sturdy and durable. Though it is always advisable to use a back cover with the phones these days, those who love to flaunt can avoid it for this one.

Talking more about the rear side, the handset has a vertically aligned camera system at the back. A key highlight of the Realme X3 Super Zoom is the Periscope lens. It is marked in a square box. The LED flashlight is placed beside the camera module. Realme branding can be seen at the bottom-left corner of the phone. The phone features a curved design on the sides edges marked with a silver film. To the right side is the fingerprint sensor which also works as the power button. The left edge of the phone has volume control buttons. The earpiece is placed on the top edge, while the speaker grill along with the charging port and the microphone is placed towards the bottom. The SIM card tray is also to be found at the bottom edge.

REALME X3 SUPER ZOOM : CAMERA

USP of the Realme X3 Super Zoom is the camera. The company has added an 8MP Periscope lens which is claimed to offer up to 5x optical zoom. Other available sensors on the device include a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. The 64MP camera comes with Samsung GW1 sensor and has an aperture of f/1.8. The phone manages to click good pictures in daylight without missing out on any detail. Colours in the images are sharp and bright. Photos do not look artificial even with Beauty features turned on.

Realme X3 Super Zoom boasts of 60x zoom feature which so far is available only in premium high-end phones from Samsung and Huawei. Images at 60x obviously become blurry and noisy and tend to lose detail, it is yet a good add-on from Realme, especially at the price point which Realme X3 Super Zoom is offered at.

For selfies, the handset is equipped with a dual in-display camera on the front. The camera system comprises of a 32MP primary lens and an 8MP ultra-wide lens with 105-degree field-of-view.

REAME X3 SUPER ZOOM : BATTERY

Another thing we liked about Realme X3 Super Zoom is the battery life. The phone can very easily last a day and more with a single 100% charge. Having said that we would like to add that the battery life also depends on the usage. For an average user, the phone will survive a day, but that may decrease for the heavy users who stream videos for long hours and play games. Realme claims that the device can charge to its full capacity in 55 minutes with the 33watt Dart charge. We found that the phone takes an hour and a few minutes to reach 100% battery levels. The phone’s battery capacity is 4200mAh.

VERDICT

Realme X3 Super Zoom comes with a price tag of Rs 27,999 (base price). The price goes high up to Rs 32,999 for the 12GB RAM variant. Is it a good buy? With an impressive camera, large battery life and smooth performance, the smartphone have just the right amount of everything that one needs from a smartphone these days. Its closest competitors will beOnePlus 7T and the company’s own Realme X2 Pro.
